What Certification Means...
Holding an ISEB Certificate is all very well, but what do you get out of it?
It used to be difficult to find training courses aimed at testers. So often, the company tester would be someone 'with an aptitude for it' or in the worst case, someone without an aptitude for it, resulting in poor testing by the wrong person with poor software releases as a result.
Training helps to formalise and expand existing knowledge, whilst providing the less experienced with a thorough grounding in the approach, organisation and methodology of testing, thus creating a more efficient process throughout the testing lifecycle.
Our aim is to promote industry recognised standards and terminology, resulting in testers better qualified to test, rather than just qualified testers.
